Who Can Participate

Operation Dress Code is designed to honor and thank the women who serve our country. It’s the least we can do to give back.
Advance registration is required to reserve your personalized shopping appointment. It’s a simple process and takes just a few minutes. Registration will open in Fall 2023 for our next San Diego event.

Bring yourself and some form of identification. That’s it. If you are looking for a job or wanting help with a resume, you can bring that, too, and one of our volunteer HR professionals will review the resume with you to make sure it represents you in the best possible light.
We know a lot of our women are single mothers so we try our best to make sure all moms can attend. We do not offer licensed child care on-site, but if you unable to find child care that day, we section off a small area with coloring books and craft supplies so children can gather while mom is shopping. Again, this is not a licensed day care facility, but we do our best to help moms shop without distractions. If you plan to stay and attend workshops offered at Operation Dress Code, you’ll probably want to make alternative childcare arrangements.
Operation Dress Code is designed to be an empowering personalized experience that you can enjoy without being rushed. If you want to shop, get hair and make-up touch ups and your picture taken, we recommend planning for at least 2-3 hours. If you want to take advantage of the special career workshops you’ll want to add an additional hour for each workshop. This is your day and we hope you experience all that we have to offer. But if you are tight for time, we’ll make that work, too!
